THE STORY OF THE NANODE

The Nanode was conceived in early 2004 to house the VIA Nano-ITX mainboards (only 120mm square!), which were anticipated in spring of that year. The prototype unit shown opposite was displayed on VIA's stand at CeBIT, the world's biggest IT show, in Hannover in March 2004.

However, 2 years on, these tiny mainboards have only just gone into production. Hoojum's design is therefore only now being finalised. We know, however, that it will look something like this, and will be approximately this small (100 x 160 x 160mm).

[Around 9 months after the Nanode prototype was first shown, the Mac Mini was launched. We are not of course assuming any connection.]
